Lebogang is an experienced sexual and reproductive health and gender expert with over twenty-five years in the field. She is also an internationally recognised social and behaviour change communication expert having led the development of the Soul City award winning edutainment materials (TV drama, education booklets, training materials and radio dramas) for over fifteen years.

As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Soul City Institute for Health and Development Communication, her key responsibilities are to provide leadership and strategic direction as well as to mobilize resources and manage the financial aspects of the organization.

She ensures the Soul City Institute remains financially sustainable and that funds are effectively managed and accurately accounted for, in terms of internationally accepted accounting standards and donor contractual requirements. During her tenure as CEO, the organisation has maintained its fiscal discipline, and has continued to obtain unqualified audits of its finances.

Lebogang has sat on the Communications and the Social and Structural Technical Task Teams of SANAC. She has also served on the international Partnership for Microbicides (IPMs) Data and Safety Monitoring Board (IPM 027 Microbicide study), and is currently sitting on the Dapivirine Ring Access Advisory Committee.

Lebogang was also on the Steering Committee of the International SBCC summit in Bali in April 2018. She currently serves on the Department of Women’s National Gender Machinery.

She holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government (2010); Postgraduate Diploma, Ethics (2008) and a BA in Education (2003) from the University of Witwatersrand.
